Enable and empower: The power of developer advocacy for engaging globally distributed teams
Effectively engaging developers is crucial for small and large organizations with a globally distributed workforce. While an organization's Developer Experience strategy may focus on introducing tools and processes, it should also address how to enable and empower its people, regardless of geographical location. In this talk, we will share examples of how Developer Advocacy within IBM's CIO organization engages our globally distributed developers and enables them to adopt new ways of working. We'll delve into how community building and empathetic approaches to enablement and training have resulted in breaking down organizational and geographical silos. You'll learn how we are: - Driving empowerment through visibility and recognition - Ensuring developer feedback is heard and acted upon. By sharing exceptional outcomes of our approach, we hope to inspire you to take a second look at how you approach a global workforce and how developer advocacy can play a pivotal role in engaging your teams.
